The earth’s climate and our environment is constantly changing. Scientists predict an uncertain future with the weather becoming both more furious and more precipitation. Media cannot help but portray the ominous climate-reports, over abundance of waste-plastics in our oceans and considerable amounts of political discourse. The people who have brought about these changes are not the same as those who will suffer the consequences. The young generation of today will be the ones who must deal with the effects of the climate change. That’s why it is vital that children, as early as possible, are schooled and educated in the fields of environment and climate. There are several media-platforms that focus on teaching children about important topics, such as environment and climate. This paper would like to take a closer look at in which way these matters are portrayed and communicated to this youthful audience .Using framing analysis I will try to show how the messages about the environment and climate change is delivered in NRKSuper, Aftenposten Junior and Miljøagentene. The framing analysis reveals that the media plattforms focuses on a positive and bright future when communication topics about climate and the environment. The media plattforms also focus on children’s own contributions and opinions. It is important that the message about climate and the enviroment are delivered in a way that inspires and motivates. So that children can understand that their commitment and actions are needed to bring about this nessecary change.
