Sammendrag
Oslo airport/Gardermoen has one of the most sophisticated control towers in the world (2001). This paper describes and analyzes how air traffic controllers at Gardermoen work, i.e. how they cooperate, use tools and equipment and control aircraft safely and expeditiously. A rich picture of the work processes in the control tower forms a basis for reflections about work, airport desighn and about systems development for air traffic control equipment. Electronic Flight Progress Strips and software process improvement strategies are discussed, and differences between the old and new Oslo airports are briefly described.
