The most influential approaches to reciprocals (Heim, Lasnik & May 1991; Dalrymple, Kanazawa, Kim, Mchombo & Peters 1998) involve a scoping operator, but there are good arguments by Murray (2008) and Dotlacil ˇ (2013) that reciprocals do not involve distributive quantification but are instead pronouns with both coference and noncoreference requirements. However, the latter analyses cannot straighforwardly account for apparent scopal variability in complex sentences with reciprocals. In this paper we extend the pronominal analysis of reciprocals to long distance cases by extending the original plural CDRT (Brasoveanu 2007) analysis with ideas from partial CDRT (Haug 2014).
