| dc.description.abstract | The main focus of this thesis is to discuss how the comics of Joe Sacco can enable a connection between the reader and the distant sufferer we encounter in his work. I will do so by analyzing three different aspects of his work; the comics medium in general, Joe Sacco´s subjective journalism, and the way he presents history in his comics.
