Sammendrag
The objective of the thesis is to chart the current feminist landscape in Norway by looking at four organizations: Norsk Kvinnesaksforening Ottar, MiRA Senteret, and Dancers with Attitude. Each organization lies in different social positions and context within the feminist dialogue, and so each organization has its own
story and perspective on feminist ideologies utilized within the organizations and feminist environment that surrounds them. By utilizing both theories of intersectionality and positionality, the project aspires to look at the complex relationship between social locations and stances within this landscape. In the process of surveying the landscape, this thesis will explore other pertinent
questions: What does the current dialogue about feminism look like? How do these organizations define feminism? WHo identifies with these groups? What makes their struggles different? Are their struggles different? Does a common ground exist between the organizations? Moreover, looking at the feminist landscape in the plural may not only enucleate differences and divisions, but also questions for
future research and possible ways in which bridges may be constructed.
