This thesis analyzes the connection between communication as a tool and the attainment of goals, expressed in economic value, in an organizational change project. The case study model is a good fit since communication is context-dependent. The case is a real change project in a major business. In order to meet the lack of methods for examining this within the communication discipline, this paper shows how uncertainty analysis (risk assessment) could work as a methodology for clarifying the connection between communication and goal achievement in change processes. The findings of the uncertainty analysis identify the most important communication elements for ensuring success in the change project.
