The intrapreneurs are called “Innovation Agents” and are part of Statkraft’s intrapreneurship program called “the Innovation Agents Program”. It also investigates how the effects are on the innovative climate.
This is a case study based on nineteen qualitative interviews with the Innovation Agents, the Innovation Agent’s Managers and the Innovation Advisor. The Innovation Advisor is the main responsible person for the “Innovation Agents Program”. It is being investigated how the “Innovation Agents Program” manages to influence the effect between the intrapreneurs and the innovative climate, in terms of contribution of facilitation.
The finding of this thesis is that it seems like the network of Agents has a positive influence on the innovative climate in terms of support, knowledge and challenge. First and foremost the network adds value by an individual knowledge development, but also a distribution of this knowledge in the organization to some extent. The innovative climate is affected by the network of Agents with the facilitation of the Innovation Agent Program, by an increase in engagement, drive, humour and encouragement for creativity at all levels in the organization, however to different extent.
Statkraft is a Norwegian publicly owned company and leading in Europe within renewable energy. The company has an important role in the Norwegian society both historically and currently. It is also being investigated if these special features of the organization have any moderating effect on the relationship between the network of the Innovation Agents and the innovative climate.
