This thesis examines how low-code/no-code development platforms (LCDPs) contributes to more effective processes of digitalization, and ultimately, digital transformations within Norwegian firms. Moreover, it looks at what advantages the firms may gain by utilizing and incorporating low-code developed products and solutions into their business processes. To answer this, the thesis is designed as a qualitative case study where in-depth interviews with representatives from two Norwegian firms in the low-code/no-code market were conducted. This thesis contributes to the relatively unexplored field of low-code/no-code as an emerging technology within the scope of the Norwegian market and businesses. The findings reveals that low-code/no-code development support various digitalization processes across industries in Norway. They offer customized and scalable solutions at an increased development speed with lower costs as compared to traditional software development methods. However, this technology still remains relatively unknown in Norway. The conclusion of this study is that low-code/no-code development have the main benefits of being customizable, fast, less costly, and scalable. This accelerates the processes of digital transformation through digitization, digital innovation, and digitalization in Norwegian firms.eng
