| dc.description.abstract | This paper is concerned with the protocol engine in the SWIPP (Switched interconnection of parallel processors) project. In particular the network protocols and the network interface are studied. A proposal for new protocols on the link- and message-layer are given. Further the network interface hardware structure is evaluated and a new proposal given. Finally the report describe the work done on a new Swipp system simulator (SwippSim) utilising a new HDL class library for C++ (SystemC).
