Abstract
In my thesis, I will be analyzing a neighborhood assembly that was founded after the Gezi Park Protests that took place in 2013, as a form of commoning practice. I will question if and how this local solidarity organization reorganized the social relations and strengthened the social bonds which were damaged by urban enclosures, gentrification and privatization processes, for its participants. The main aim of the research will be to understand how a local solidarity network could help the create alternative social relations, and the possibility to mobilize people through such commoning practices.
