dc.description.abstractWhen introducing a new treatment option, it is of great importance to study the value of the new therapy both in patient as well as a societal perspective, at an early stage as possible. This study aimed at investigating and elucidating the cost of new TAVI treatment, the objective results in heart function and complications, the quality of life for the patients and the hazards for the personnel in the hybrid operation room. TAVI may have a great impact on hospital budget in the future, but if the value for the patient increases, the innovation may be justified.en_US
