| dc.description.abstract | Abstract The sustainable development goals are the United Nations blueprint for tackling poverty, inequality and stopping global warming by 2030. While the millennium goals were largely focused on developing countries, the new sustainable development goals are oriented towards a more global perspective. In order to face the social injustice, poverty and other needs of the world, all member states, both rich and poor, need to act together. Sustainability goal 3 "Ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being at all ages," has a unique focus on health and is composed of 13 sub-targets. These goals are aimed at achieving global health priorities. Sustainability goal 3 aims to secure decent health care opportunities for all humans, of ages, in all countries. In this paper, we are looking to address what type of research is being conducted on the implementation of this sustainability goal. We therefore wished to gain an overview of the main themes, the scope, and shortcomings found in the literature regarding the implementation of this goal. In order to gain an oversight of the sustainability goals within the healthcare sector, we have carried out a scoping review. | eng |
