| dc.description.abstract | For our project thesis, we have made an internet resource in cardiovascular pharmacology, aimed at medical students at the University of Oslo. Our product will be available at elæringhelse.no, and consists of seven cases, each with a different cardiovascular condition in focus. The cases have typical patient histories, and we test the students in an integrated mix of basic and clinical pharmacological treatment as we travel along the patient’s course of progressed disease. Our aim with this project is to provide a tool in which medical students can practice basic pharmacological knowledge and clinical decision making, as a support to traditional teaching methods at the medical faculty of the University of Oslo. This in keeping with the faculty’s aim that integration of clinical medicine should be present already at the beginning of studies, and the faculty’s increased prioritization of embracing “blended learning” as a mode of teaching, specifically internet based learning. In the making of the cases, it has been important for us to follow available guidelines and research regarding the construction of learning resources. In particular, we have used NBMA’s guide for constructing MCQs (Constructing Written Test Questions for the Basic and Clinical Sciences), have looked at present research about feedback methods and “blended learning”.
