Abstract
The study focused on the school culture and its influence on girls' low participation in science. In order to understand the phenomenon, the study employed qualitative research approach and used interviews, observation and documents for data collection. The study found out that within a given school, policy and the school prohibitive rules, teachers beliefs and attitudes and teaching style and the school facilities were found to have influence on girls' low participation in science. The study recommended attitudinal change from the society itself to the school. Again, a recommendation was made on the use of digital tools in the teaching of science and the use of solar energy to help prolong the life span of the digital tools.
