Oscillations in mRNA-levels: Explored Through ErbB-ligands in Cisplatin-resistant Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Abstract

Cisplatin resistant and cisplatin sensitive squamous cell carcinoma cell lines were studied throughout a set period of time. The results showed a cyclic variation of mRNA levels with seemingly consistent patterns. In this thesis we aim to better understand the basal cellular mechanisms of mRNA expression and regulation, with emphasis on the possible existence of oscillatory mRNA behavior.
