The introduction of the thesis consists of a brief description of the scope and objectives, some background information on storage mechanisms for CO2 and the models we applied for addressing the necessary questions for obtaining our goals. This is followed by a summary of the papers and, finally, some concluding remarks. The main focus of this study was to simulate and predict the behavior of the CO2 plume in the reservoir, the geochemical and the ultimate fate of CO2 in the reservoir formations.en_US
