Oppgavens fokus er koordinering av metall-atomer til deler av krystallen kalt linkere. Karakterisering av slike lokale bestanddeler er utfordrende, og ble gjort med Extended X-ray Spectroscopy Fine Structure (EXAFS) og fastfase kjernemagnetisk resonansspektroskopi (NMR). UiO-67 er et særlig stabilt eksempel på metallorganiske gitter (metal-organic framework), en type organisk/uorganisk hybridmateriale. dc.description.abstractThe thesis describes the synthesis, functionalization and characterization of UiO-67, a crystalline porous material discovered at the University of Oslo. In particular, it focuses on the coordination of metal atoms onto certain crystal constituents called linkers. Characterization of such local features in a solid material is challenging, and was carried out using Extended X-ray Spectroscopy Fine Structure (EXAFS) and solid state Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectroscopy. The UiO-67 is a particularly stable example of a class of organic/inorganic hybrid materials called metal-organic frameworks. Functionalized, it could be applied as a heterogeneous catalyst or selective adsorbent.eng
