Abstract
The early Isaiah-prophecy appears to contain a pre-exilic understanding of the human survival and/or ressurection after the punishment of Yahweh. This is especially present in Isaiah 1-12 and, in this paper, I will try to shed some light on how these themes have been later developed and reinterpreted in the post-exilic era. I will do this with the help of, among other, Karel van der Toorn and his book "Scribal Culture" dealing with the neareastern scribes, how they worked with the text and developed them into the form which we know today.
