dc.description.abstractThe challeges of sustainable development are explored through this investigation of household water consumption in a slum colony in New Delhi, India. The thesis explores how water is consumed on a litre by litre, task by task basis to detremine how residents survive on under 30 litres a day. It makes connections between poverty and sustainability and provides technical knowledge on how to consume water in a more sustainable way in the household.eng
