Abstract
Abstract
Aims: The aim of this study was to develop recommendations for occupational therapist in assessment of hand function in patients with Rheumatoid arthritis.
Methods: An expert group of occupational therapist followed a Delphi-process. The aim of the Delphi-process was to reach consensus of up to ten recommendations for assessment of hand function in patients with Rheumatoid arthritis. The Delphi-process was followed by an extensive literature search in order to assess the level of evidence for each recommendation.
Results: As a result of the above process ten recommendations for assessment of hand function in patients with Rheumatoid arthritis were developed. The recommendations reached a lower degree of evidence and in some cases no evidence was found.
Conclusion: Ten recommendations for assessment of hand function in patients with Rheumatoid arthritis have been developed. Further research and knowledge is needed to achieve a higher level of evidence concerning assessment of hand function in patients with Rheumatoid arthritis.
