Nye veier for solens skyggesider? : en studie av hvordan nåværende og tidligere storsolere vurderer risikokommunikasjon om soling

Abstract

Denne masteroppgaven ser med bakgrunn i sosialpsykologiske teorier pÃ¥ hvordan jenter som nå har et risikofylt solingsmønster og jenter som tidligere hadde dette, vurderer risikommunikasjon knyttet til soling. Studien er basert på en gjennomføring av to fokusgrupper der respondentene diskuterte sitt syn pÅ effektiv versus mindre effektiv kommunikasjon om risikofylt soling. Oppgaven viser blant annet at dagens risikokommunikasjon om dette temaet er lite effektiv fordi den har skapt en " trøtthetseffekt" blant respondentene og at det dermed behøves en nytenkning i fremtiden med tanke på bruk av budskap, kilder og kanaler.

Based on socialpsychological theories, this Master thesis examines how girls with an unhealthy pattern of sunbathing, and girls formerly exposed to the same risks, asesses the risk communication connected to sunbathing. The study bases its empirical findings on the results from two focusgroups where the participants discussed their viewpoints on effectice and ineffective communication regarding high-risk sunbathing. The assignment concludes that the risk communication on this subject is highly ineffective because it has created an effect of "tiresomeness" amongst the participants, and if the risk communication on high-risk sunbathing is to be successfull in the future, it needs creative thinking regarding message, sources and channels of communication.
