Effective information handling? : an analysis of organizational communication strategies implemented by Forsvarets Relokalisering Gardermoen, Gardermobanen A/S and Oslo Lufthavn A/s

Hovedoppgaven fokuserer på hvordan FrG, GMB og OSL gjennomfører informasjonsstrategier. Oppgaven identifiserer og sammenligner forskjellige strategier utarbeidet av de tre organisasjonene. Det blir også undersøkt om organisasjonene gjennomfører organisasjonskommunikasjon i samsvar med ledende teori innen feltet. Resultatene viser at ledelsen i FrG har de mest detaljerte strategiene, både for intern informasjon og ekstern informasjon. Organisasjonen er også den eneste som håndterer organisasjonskommunikasjon i samsvar med teori. Ledelsen i GMB og OSL har ikke fokusert like grundig på informasjon. Strategiene er uklare, og man har ikke lykkes i å forklare i detalj hvordan de virker. Et resultat av dette er at GMB og OSL ikke har håndtert informasjon på en effektiv måte.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how Forsvarets relokalisering Gardermoen (FrG), Gardermobanen A/S (GMB), and Oslo Lufthavn A/S (OSL) implement organizational communication strategies. The thesis identifies and compares the various strategies. It also evaluates whether or not the three organizations implement organizational communication in accordance with leading literature. The results show that the management in the FrG has developed detailed strategies, covering both internal and external information. Moreover, the organization is the only one handling information in accordance with literature. The management in the GMB and the OSL have not been as thorough in their work with information. They've been unable to explain in detail how the various strategies are to function. The strategies are too vague and unambiguous. As a result, the GMB and the OSL have not managed to handle information effectively.
