Abstract
Oppgaven omhandler vikingtids-sølvdepoter i Irland. Depotenes geografiske spredning og innholdsmessige forskjell blir forklart som et resultat av handelsnettverk og kulturell identitet blant befolkningen i perioden mellom 800 og 1170 e. Kr.
The thesis examines the Viking Age silver hoards in Ireland. Their geographical distribution and varying contents are explained as resulting from exchange networks and cultural identity, c. AD 800-1170.
