dc.description.abstractWe present a computational environment for hypernuclear structure calculations consisting of a program library for Python and several applications. The program library is capable of obtaining matrix elements of a two-particle interaction in relative momentum space in a partial wave basis, using an arbitary interaction model. This two-particle interaction can be renormalized by a Lee-Suzuki similarity transformation, transforming the bare interaction to a low-momentum space defined by a momentum cutoff. The renormalized intercation can be used in a Hartree-Fock calculation, obtaining a self-consistent single particle potential in a spherical harmonic oscillator basis, for a particle in a finite nuclear medium. We present results for the isospin singlet Lambda, trapped momentarily in the potential field set up by several doubly magic nuclei, and discuss the dependence on the two-particle interaction model used to create the renormalized interaction. We also discuss the dependence on the momentum space cutoff used in the calculation of the renormalized interaction, as well as the harmonic oscillator parameter used when transforming the renormalized interaction to the harmonic oscillator basis.nor
