In 2002, H&M published its first CSR report. Here they present their social responsibility to their stakeholders. Since then, H&M has invested heavily in sustainability and developed several collections as well as used other alternative methods to produce more environmentally friendly textiles. Through their business concept, which can easily be reconciled with fast fashion, H&M has shown that they have excellent business acumen, and know what will bring the biggest profit. "Quality and fashion, at the best price", has helped make H&M become a global fashion-business. Such an extensive presence has meant that production has increased in a similar caliber. Where fashion in its essence is easily changeable, and constantly on the lookout for the latest trends , fast fashion has brought the industry to new heights. Cheap, trendy and not least frequent clothes are being produced on an ever-increasing scale and for an ever-increasing number of consumers. The world is slowly becoming more self-aware of the trouble this level of consummating is mounting into and businesses like H&M is starting to take a more environmental approach.eng
